Pequeno-Príncipe-HospitalIn 2016, PMI South America began an important new relationship with Pequeno Príncipe Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in Brazil. Founded in 1956 in Curitiba by a group of volunteers, the hospital devotes up to 70% of its capacity to patients in Brazil’s public health system, providing more than 300,000 services every year to children and adolescents from all over the country.

PMI supports the hospital’s Full Care II project, which is dedicated to defending the rights of patients and providing humane care for their families. The project provides a range of holistic health services, from psychological support to dental procedures, social assistance and overnight hospital visits.

The PMI South America Team looks forward to continuing their support of Pequeno Príncipe Hospital and volunteering with young patients in 2017 and beyond.
